I will lead you safely through this age and through the ages to come.  One can imagine Him saying this, as the ages lie ahead like endless ranges of mountains.  So the sheep stick close to the Shepherd as He leads them into the fullest victory of the Cross, and thence to the throne, to overcome as the Lord Jesus Christ overcame, and to reign in life with Him here, and beyond the veil, the exciting journey unto the ages of ages.
